If you find yourself craving authentic Mexican flavors served with a creative twist, Sofia's Antojitos in Colorado Springs is a must-visit culinary gem. Located at 4037 Tutt Blvd, this family-run restaurant brings a vibrant and warm dining experience that captures the heart and soul of Mexican cuisine, blending tradition with inventive dishes that excite the palate.
One bite into their signature Quesabirria reveals a beautifully folded, cheese-melted tortilla packed with tender, slow-cooked beef, perfectly complemented by a rich, aromatic consomé for dipping. It’s a sensory delight: the savory, succulent meat balanced by the crispy, cheesy tortilla edge, and the soothing broth that elevates each bite. For adventurous food lovers, the Quesabirria With Ramen adds an unexpected, delightful fusion with a side of slurp-worthy ramen noodles, enhancing the dish’s layering of textures and flavors.
The Birria Burrito and Tacos De Carne Asada showcase perfectly grilled, juicy meats that are seasoned to perfection—whether it’s the smoky char on the carne asada or the deeply flavored birria stew enveloped in tortilla dough. The Carne Asada Fries are a hearty, indulgent choice, topped with cheese and fresh pico de gallo—a crowd-pleaser that embraces satisfying comfort food vibes. Not to be missed are the innovative Birria Pizza and the rare find of Birria Ramen and Tacos, offering an exciting crossover that surprises and delights even the most seasoned birria fans.
Beyond the savory, Sofia’s sweet offerings add a perfect ending to your meal. The Tres Leches Cake is heavenly—lusciously moist with delicate coffee-flavored jelly nestled in a sweet cream sauce, while their Arroz Con Leche wraps creamy Mexican tapioca in warm cinnamon and comforting sweetness. If you crave playful treats, mini pancakes drizzled with chocolate, Nutella, or cheesecake sauce bring a whimsical touch of sweetness to breakfast or dessert.
Breakfast here isn’t to be overlooked, either. The Chilaquiles—two eggs cooked atop crunchy corn tortillas bathed in vibrant red or green salsa—deliver a fresh, bold start to the day. The breakfast burritos, packed with scrambled eggs, potatoes, cheese, and your choice of chorizo or bacon, are hearty and flavorful, perfect for guests seeking both comfort and zest in the morning.
What truly sets Sofia’s Antojitos apart is not only the imaginative, crave-worthy dishes but also the genuine warmth and passion of a family-run business. Patrons often praise the friendly staff and the hands-on approach of the owners, whose care resonates in the consistently fresh, clean atmosphere and attentive service.

Enjoyed Taco Tuesday $2.99 each, great selection of meats. I choose Lenqua, nicely prepared, with red onion sliced. Barbacco tacos topped with onion & cilantro, the side sauce in a cup was mild but delicious and came with lime wedges & sliced cucumbers. The fruit bowl with tajin & chamoy was a very generous serving and fresh. Save room for dessert, the menu has lots to offer. Family run restaurant and amazing service and great prices. They also serve up beer & margaritas. They have 2 location, we dined at 4037 Tutt Blvd. Will be back for the Birria Burrito.
We got whatever this was and it was so good! We saw a photo of it from another review and it looked good. It tastes as good as it looks
I came here with my 2 yr old based on recommendations from the guy at Aspen Auto. They were working on our car, so we got some food from here. They weren't wrong about how good it was! I really liked the shredded chicken tacos, and I got mac and cheese and fries for my toddler, who loved it. Staff is friendly and the place was clean. We will definitely be back to try some other menu options!
My family and I came ,we absolutely recommend you give this place a try. Everything was delicious. The quesabirrias are a must. Great service, amazing people, and the owner is hands on. This place will not disappoint. We came for dinner then for lunch the next day, that's how good it is
Went in wanting to try the birria pizza but they had birria ramen! This was something i first tried when in LA and fell in love with. This did not disappoint! Will have to come back to try the pizza at some point. I also has the tres leches mini pancakes which were another unexpected find!
Absolutely delicious!! I had the birra tacos and I added a side of refried beans and a churro. Everything was phenomenal. I will be back! This is authentic Mexican food at it finest.
